I am sure that this question has been asked many times but here goes is it possible to dual boot vista and WindowsXP ?
What I have is Vista Ultimate 32bit now and would like to have Xp also for gaming but unsure if I can add xp to the vista MBR . thanks for the help . and I don't really want to format.
Thanks.
With Regards.

hi friend,
XP is good for gaming because XP as an operating system places less demands on your hardware so your games can run a bit faster, so I can see why you're trying to do this, but the thing is although it certainly is possible to manually configure your boot config using bcdedit.exe from Vista or boot.ini from XP,
XP doesn't really play nice with Vista and installing XP after Vista will corrupt Vista's boot config, causing you a hell lot of trouble unless you should know what you're doing. So, avoid installing XP on a system with Vista, but if you really want to do it just make sure you are prepared to tackle the boot config yourself.
Wish you best luck |
